Appreciate yourself and honour your soul. This Saturday, I have fought a very difficult battle against my mind and myself, but applied this motto to the letter anyway and took a slice of vegan veggies & chickpeas lasagna, which I’ve had next to a spoonful of cauliflower salad seasoned with hazelnut oil and a spoonful of dill beetroot salad. But more notably, I treated myself with a vegan chocolate & chestnut cream for dessert.
Eating this – even though it was far from the adapted quantities and variety of food I’m supposed to take at every meal – has been difficult, and eating outside hospital has been even more so, but vegan food does help on my path to recovery… Thanks to the Treize Lucioles restaurant and their awesome and diverse vegan and vegetarian buffet, I was able to find some pleasure around this lunch I shared with my mum.
The story 🦋
Chef Stéphanie Cordelier made the 13 Place Emile Zola a must-go for food lovers, vegetarians, vegans and carnivores alike. At the Treize Lucioles restaurant, everything is homemade – even the decor (which brings a natural, crafty and appeasing touch to the place) – favouring season local products. The canteen offers a generous, flavoursome, mostly cruelty-free, and original cuisine, always associating a vegan and vegetarian buffet with a traditional menu comprising two or three dishes that either include meat or fish. To top it all, the staff bends over backwards to give their clients the best possible culinary experience!
