A few weeks ago, my mum and I visited my aunt and uncle in Haute-Marne, in north-eastern France. We made the most of these few days at the heart of landscapes rather different from those we are used to living in and that we know, i.e. Burgundy’s vineyards and its small, so atypically charming villages. A three-hour drive up north away, everything is flat and there are immense stretches of gigantic pine forests.
