« Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there’s no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic. »
– Laini Taylor, Daughter of Smoke & Bone
Now that the festive season – sometimes a source of torment and a synonym for hard times too – is over, the days feel pretty empty in January…
Hopefully, this quiet moment can be seen in a slightly more positive light as a period of transition, a time to be grateful for, thirty one days which allow us to step into the new year just the right & perfect way!
So I wish you all and everyone for the best – get ready for happy times, for new sweet memories to be made and remembered and cherished, for exciting & life-changing adventures, for dreams come true, for magic and unexpected wonders to fill in your eyes and your soul, for strength, and for kindness and love from others and from yourself.
For my part, I know I haven’t been writing and publishing as much as I would have liked to in 2017 or simply could… so in 2018, I want to start doing more of that again… I want to finish the new design of my website and finally use all of the beautiful illustrations by Florence from Atelier Mouette, share loads of recipes, watch and review short films and features, and listen to music of budding talents and a lot more artistic voices, be even more creative in everything I undertake, build new dreams, work hard, and believe in them, and let go of all the fake and toxic people still surrounding me and reuniting with those who have always made me feel at ease and at peace… start a new life keeping only the light in and chasing all of the darkness inside and outside. In 2018, I wish for hope & I wish for recovery.
Here’s to a bright new year!
