Disney’s forthcoming live-action film is re-telling the tale as old as time, 1991 animated classic Beauty & The Beast.
Directed by Bill Condon, the film is to present refashioned and refreshing versions of some of the best-known characters and most-loved narratives of all times, following the sound of the original music as well as several new tracks.
Recently Disney unveiled the first full trailer for the story of Beauty & The Beast, the enchanting journey of Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in his castle when she tries to rescue her father (Oscar winner Kevin Kline), the crazy yet lovable inventor of the village. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff, including legendary candelabra Lumiere (Ewan McGregor), mantel clock Cogsworth (Ian McKellen) and lovely Mrs. Potts (two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson), and learns to look beyond the Beast’s frightening exterior and fathom the kind heart and soul of the Prince within.
Beauty and the Beast will be released in U.S. cinemas on 17 March 2017.
