Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last wrote a ‘normal’ post with photos and a body of article like that but here we are! :) Before I start telling you a tad more about where all of these photos come from, I would like to dedicate this blog to my best friend, who’s lucky enough to be in California this year. And since these black and white photographic memories remind me of a beautiful time we spend in London on the day following my birthday, I thought I would write to her publicly via this article (I’m the worst friend ever – I keep saying we will Skype but we never do because life is crazy from both sides of the ocean and well… it’s complicated!) :)
Amelie (my best friend) had come to town this summer with my dad and brother to help me blow my 20th candle :D on the 8th of August… and my brother’s 17th as well. Before they left London, we absolutely wanted to have a ride on the majestic London Eye and so we climbed this giant wheel and took off to have a new perspective of the city!
I remember how we struggled to get our tickets that day but hopefully, we eventually did get them and got to go on a wonderful ride… in the rain! It maybe wasn’t ideal to take photos but it somehow perfectly and gorgeously reflected the so-called beauty and charm of London!
I made the choice to work on my photos in black and white since it was another rainy day and I kind of wanted to make you feel that atmosphere… It may also be because we were all bleary-eyed on that day with Amelie since we’d had a pretty hectic previous night (I won’t give any more details on here but I guess you can sort of imagine what the day after a birthday party feels and looks like… :p)
But anyway, whatever the reason, I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as we did!
Much love <3
Wonderful memories… :) <3
