A Romantic Disney Playlist ♥

PicMonkey Collage

Hi everyone! Today, I’m publishing the last post of this Valentine’s Week! I was so happy to see how much you liked the first playlist I made so I thought that making another one was just the perfect way to end this very special week before I keep going with the other daily articles :)

As you’ve probably guessed, this is a playlist that is  completely dedicated to Disney and I hope you’ll like the lovely bunch of songs I selected :D! Under each title, you’ll find the related video as well as the part of the song that speaks the most to me. They might be Disney songs but they always hold such deep and genuine emotions.

You may also wonder whether I select the lyrics randomly or not, but I can assure you it’s absolutely NOT random! I can totally relate to those songs and especially those words. If you know me, even just a little, you’ll understand most of them :)

Anyway, I hope you had a great time coming over here during this Valentine’s Week, during this week full of LOVE and simply before I leave you, I wanted to add the link of my previous post I entitled Sending my heart off ♥

Many of my uni mates celebrated Valentine’s Day/Week at this ‘Lover under Cover‘ party Thursday night, and I did celebrate too… but a more personal way. This post is a personal love letter… the words in it are the words I’ll never say… not to him… not today ✒️

Love always,

M.

1. Kiss the Girl FROM The Little Mermaid

There you see her
Sitting there across the way
She don’t got alot to say
But there’s something about her

And you don’t know why
But you’re dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl

You don’t take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl, kiss the girl

2. Dancing Scene FROM Beauty & the Beast

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends unexpectedly
Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the beast

3. I won’t say I’m in Love FROM Hercules

Who do you think you’re kiddin’?
He’s the earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden

Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, you can’t conceal it
We know how you feel and
Who you’re thinking of?

No chance, no way
I won’t say it, no, no
You swoon, you sigh
Why deny it? Uh, oh

It’s too cliche
I won’t say I’m in love

4. If I Never Knew You FROM Pocahontas

If I never knew you
I’d be safe but half as real
Never knowing I could feel
A love so strong and true

I’m so grateful to you
I’d have lived my whole life through
Lost forever
If I never knew you

5. A Whole New World FROM Aladdin

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we’re only dreaming

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I’m way up here
It’s crystal clear
that now I’m in a whole new world with you

6. I See the Light FROM Tangled

Now I’m here, suddenly I see
Standing here, it’s oh so clear
I’m where I’m meant to be
And at last I see the light
And it’s like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it’s like the sky is new
And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted

All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you

All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she’s here shining in the starlight
Now she’s here, suddenly I know

“-I have something for you too. I should have given it to you before but I was just scared and the thing is… I’m not scared anymore. You know what I mean?! – I’m staring to :)”

7. Can You Feel the Love Tonight FROM The Lion King

So many things to tell her
But how to make her see
The truth about my past? Impossible!
She’d turn away from me

He’s holding back, he’s hiding
But what, I can’t decide
Why won’t he be the king I know he is
The king I see inside?

8. Love is an Open Door FROM Frozen

But with you

I found my place

9. Someone’s Waiting for You FROM The Rescuers

Be brave little one.
Make a wish for each sad little tear.
Hold your head up though no one is near
Someone’s waiting for you.
Don’t cry little one.
There’ll be a smile where a frown use to be
You’ll be part of the love that you see.
Someone’s waiting for you.
Always keep a little prayer in your pocket
and you’re sure to see the light.
Soon there’ll be joy and happiness
and your little world will be bright
Have faith little one
‘Til your hopes and your wishes come true.
You must try to be brave little one.
Someone’s waiting to love you.

10. Out of Thin Air FROM Aladdin

You showed me the world when I was all locked up inside
You reached out your hand and took me on
A magic carpet ride
One look at your smile
And I could see the light shining ev’rywhere
People like you don’t come out of thin air

11. You’ll Be in My Heart FROM Tarzan

‘Cos you’ll be in my heart,
yes you’ll be in my heart,
From this day on now and forever more.

You’ll be in my heart,
No matter what they say,
You’ll be here in my heart,
Always.

12. Love Will Find a Way FROM The Lion King

They can have the world
We’ll create our own
I may not be brave or strong or smart
But somewhere in my secret heart
I know love will find a way
Anywhere I go, I’m home
If you are there beside me
The dark turning into day
Somehow we’ll come through
Now that I found you
Love will find a way

Marie, you are one of a kind! What an amazing heart and soul you have. What can one learn from a bunch of Disney songs anyway? Lots if you have an open heart and mind. :) There is beauty in the songs and wisdom in the words. Your posts continue bring smiles to my face, challenge my thinking and help make me a better person. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do to share your world with us. :)

Thanks a lot for this comment Stuart! I’m very happy you liked this post :)
I completely agree with you when you say that ‘there’s beauty in the songs and wisdom in the words’; Disney is nothing but childish! Lessons we learn from the movies, songs or whatever are for grown-ups too :)

*Let me challenge you a little bit… Which of these songs do you think is my favourite or at the one that speaks the most to me? You know my heart and I think you can guess :)

Have a great day and I shall see you over here when my next article comes out (it’ll be one I have initially written for Smitten but which has unfortunately been refused because it was a bit too personal #clue)

      Love,
      M.
